    PREACHING MINISTER

    Frank has been proclaiming the Gospel in a gifted way at Cross Point since 2005. He previously preached in Georgia and in Arkansas. Before sharing God's love from the pulpit, he influenced young people as a middle and high school teacher and coach. Frank loves to preach the Word and feels blessed to work alongside other staff members and friends who love the Lord. He loves the fact that Cross Point is focused on Jesus, serving the community, and seeking and saving the lost. Frank and his wife, Summer, met at Harding University. They have two children, both Harding grads, and four fantastic grandchildren. Frank enjoys all types of sports and attending sporting events. He is an avid reader and enjoys traveling.

  • MARK KILLEN

    Executive Minister

    FAVORITE Scripture: Paul's prayer in Ephesians 3:16-21

    Mark began serving as the volunteer Education Minister in 1996. He then moved into the role of Recreation/Outreach Minister and became a full-time staff member in 2004. He now serves as the Executive Minister and oversees ministries and daily operations of the church. Mark previously owned a small business and holds a Bachelor's degree in Math and Business Administration as well as a Master's in Education. Mark has a passion for Cross Point ministries and enjoys seeing the excitement the leaders have for those ministries. He loves coordinating and going on our yearly family mission trip to Antigua and also loves working with the Upward Soccer program. Mark and his wife, Gena, have two children in college at UNA and one who is in high school at Mars Hill Bible School. Mark loves to watch his children play sports, as well as watch Alabama play football. He also enjoys Disney World and eBay.

  • Ken Delano

    Counseling Minister

    Ken has been on staff with Cross Point since 1996, beginning as the Involvement Minister, and then becoming the Counseling Minister in 2004. He has a BA in Biblical Studies from Harding University, as well as a Masters in Counseling from Harding Theological School. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a calming personality that makes him easy to talk with. Ken loves that Cross Point tries to be true to the Biblical message, while being open to new ways of sharing the Gospel. He loves helping people through counseling and Bible teaching. Ken and his wife, Crystal, have three children, and four grandchildren. Ken enjoys hunting, shooting sports, traditional archery, and hanging out with his grandkids, of course!

  • BEVIN THOMASTON

    Children's Minister

    Bevin works hard to ensure there are many opportunities for children to connect with Jesus, while also learning to serve others. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from Radford University. She assisted in running a preschool and kindergarten in Texas for eight years prior to moving home to Alabama and joining the Cross Point team in 2015. She loves developing relationships with kids and their families and watching them learn and grow. Bevin's husband, Corey, is a high school basketball coach, and is also a huge help to Bevin in the ministry. They have two wonderful children. When Bevin and her family are not at one of the many basketball games, baseball games, dance classes, or gymnastics classes they are involved in, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with family.

  • JOe Manchester

    Youth Minister

    favorite Scripture: Philippians 4:13

    Joe began working with the youth of Cross Point on a part-time basis several years ago. He became the full-time Youth Minister in 2014. His prior career was in sales, and he has a Criminal Justice degree from Rochester College. Joe really enjoys being involved in the lives of teens and working alongside families and other adult mentors to minister to young people. He loves the outward focus Cross Point has on the community and within the Teen Ministry. Joe and his wife, Cortnie, have two daughters, and he enjoys looking for vintage finds (Cortnie owns a vintage shop), cycling, and traveling.

  • JACK Mann

    CAMPUS Minister

    Favorite scripture: Luke 15:20 / 1 Corinthians 13:13

    Jack joined the Cross Point staff as CAMPUS Minister in March of 2018. He has attended Cross Point and been involved in various ministries here for a number of years. Jack has a marketing degree from Auburn, and prior to ministry he worked in the insurance and financial services industry. Jack says Cross Point is a church that is always showing Jesus to people. Whether it is by serving our local community or supporting ongoing foreign missions, we passionately pursue people for Him. Campus ministry has had a huge impact on him and he is excited to work with students and young people who want to serve and grow in their personal faith. Jack and wife, Kimberly, have two sons who keep them busy. Golfing, coaching soccer, walking, and traveling, are all activities he enjoys.

  • CHASE AKINS

    Worship Minister

    Favorite Scripture: pSALM 100

    Chase joined Cross Point as our Worship Minister in early 2018. Before coming to Cross Point, he served as a youth and worship minister, a high school choral director, Bible professor, and golf coach. He and his wife, Amanda, were life-long Arkansas residents before moving to the Shoals, and both attended Harding University. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in General Studies, with emphasis in Ministry and Kinesiology, as well as a Master's Degree in Ministry. Chase loves that Cross Point is outwardly focused and is striving to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the community. He is excited to focus on helping us all have the attitude and heart for worship as we come together before the throne and celebrate what the Lord has done! Amanda and Chase have three precious children who keep them busy. In his spare time, Chase enjoys golf and spending time singing and recording music in his studio.

  • Ryan House

    Ministry Assistant

    Favorite Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 13 / Exodus 14:14 / Psalm 37:23-24 / Galatians 5:6b

    As you can tell by his photo, Ryan laughs (and keeps us laughing) each day, as he works in countless ways to make Cross Point ministries successful. He has been the Ministry Assistant here since 2012, and loves meeting and helping people. He assists with many large events and helps coordinate our Upward Soccer program. Ryan and his wife, Christa, have been married since 2010, and are in love with Florence and their amazing church family. In his spare time, Ryan loves to cook, fish, and travel. He and Christa spend lots of time visiting with family across Alabama and Tennessee.

  • Sara Landes

    Office Manager

    FAVORITE Scriptures: Colossians 3:15-17 MSG / Philippians 4:13

    Sara is a native of Florida and a graduate of Florida State University. She moved to Florence and joined the Cross Point team in 2015. She worked as a paralegal and an IT manager, before taking on the role of Office Manager at Cross Point. She enjoys finding ways to help people and improve processes and loves that she gets to serve Cross Point by maintaining our office and financial records. Sara also manages our website and assists with social media and worship graphics. Sara and her husband, Kime, have three precious daughters who light up their lives. She enjoys spending time with family, hunting for antiques and vintage décor, and rooting for her alma mater in football. Go Noles!

  • Ashley Hudson

    OFFICE ASSISTANT

    Ashley began working as the Cross Point Office Assistant in early 2017. Ashley is a ray of sunshine in our office and she is always ready to lend a hand. She has a BA in Biblical Studies from Heritage Christian University, and previously worked alongside her husband, Seth, in youth ministry. Ashley loves ministering in a unique way, behind the scenes in the office, and she loves feeling God's presence here at Cross Point. Ashley and Seth love to spend time with friends and family outdoors - hiking, backpacking, kayaking, caving, rock climbing...well, pretty much anything outside! They even spent time providing Sunday morning worship services in Olympic National Park with the organization A Christian Ministry in the National Park.

  • Scotty South

    Facilities manager

    favorite Scripture: john 3:16-17

    Scotty has been the friendly face on campus since 2010, making sure our facilities are kept up. He greets everyone with a smile and is always ready to help. He's often the face that people from our community see when they utilize our campus for their events. During his career, Scotty has managed an assisted living home for Alzheimer's patients, been a tour bus driver, worked at Ford Motor Company, and was a military policeman in the US Army. He loves the openness and realness of Cross Point, and he faithfully serves as one of our shepherds. Scotty and his wife, Diane, have 4 sons, 12 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
